Resources
Use this page to find trusted resources for memory loss, caregiving, and supportive services in Waukesha and Jefferson Counties, and beyond. If you’re not sure where to begin, start with the “First steps” section below, or contact the library for help connecting to community resources.
First steps
Not sure what to do first? Many families start by (1) talking with a primary care provider, (2) getting connected to community support and education, and (3) exploring services that can help at home. These resources can help you take the next step at your own pace.
What the library can (and can’t) do
Library staff can help you locate information and connect you to community resources. Library staff and volunteers do not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or case management, and we encourage you to consult a health care professional for medical concerns.
Recommended Resources
The ADRC is a great first call for help navigating community supports for older adults and adults with disabilities, including memory loss resources, caregiver support, benefits counseling, and options for in-home help and respite.
