“Making the Journey” with Old World Wisconsin Memory Cafe

March 18 @ 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm

Join Old World Wisconsin as they tell the immigration story of the Kvaale Family, who came from Norway and settled in Wisconsin in the 1840’s. Old World Wisconsin’s series “Making the Journey” is an interactive experience where an Old World Wisconsin staff member in historic clothing will bring an immigrant trunk full of historical items. During the program you will have a chance to explore the objects and discuss immigrant experiences in coming to Wisconsin, as well as time to share your own stories.

A Memory Café is an informal social gathering for those living with early-stage memory loss and their care partner.

Coffee, tea and light refreshments will be served. This event will be held in the Quad/Graphics Room of Pauline Haass Public Library which can be accessed from the library’s lobby by the main entrance. Registration is appreciated, but not required. REGISTER HERE!
